Gila Joffe
ISA Flat Water Instructor
BC Foundation Safety & Rescue Training
BC Core Coach
Aquatic First Aid
Gila joined our passionate bunch in march 2023. She moved to the area in 2021 and was instantly drawn to the water.

After cycling for 30 years, she relished the opportunity to learn a new skill, meet new people and benefit from being near and on the water. She calls it her Mental Health Session. Gila met Lynne at a SUP event and that was it. She was hooked, and wanted to get involved with Ripple Rebels to inspire and grow the sport!

she hopes to give everyone who joins a chance to forget about the daily grind, and instead hear the birds, listen to the water and appreciate our beautiful waterways.

Sheila burgess
BC open water sup instructor
BC Foundation Safety & Rescue Training
Sheila is one of our fantastic coaches. After she stopped riding she tried lots of things to light her fire she hired an isup in Poole Harbour, there was a fairly strong on shore wind and very choppy water and she set out on her knees with waves and wind in her face and was hooked there and then!

In the following three years she has made some awesome friends and met some lovely people all with the same joy and passion for getting in and on the water. This is why she has decided to give something back to the sport and help others to get the most out of their bodies and boards.

Sheila says "Paddle boarding is a fantastic sport whether just a fun paddle with friends or sup polo which is hilarious, sup surf which is totally awesome, racing or downwinding. the joy and laughter can't be beaten!"
