british canoeing

Ripple rebels have affiliated with british canoeing because we agree with their values.

They want to support and provide opportunities for everyone to enjoy and realise their potential within all aspects of canoeing regardless of their age, background or ability.

our affiliation comes with many benefits, including access to club support officers, who are just fantastic!!

AquaPaddle Bournemouth

We are privileged to host monthly timed 5km paddles on behalf of aquapaddle, the paddle sport charity.

Their aim is to help people's mental wellbeing and physical health through paddle sport and provide a free-of-charge, timed 5km paddle for all abilities, on waterways across the country. they are also growing and supporting the paddle sport community, that will complement our BlueSpace activities.

every body paddles

we have been awarded a British canoeing grant as part of their stronger together fund!

The project will support people with a range of disabilities, medical conditions, and mental health challenges to access the benefits of paddleboarding.

we will alter the perception that you can only paddleboard if you are able to stand.  there are many ways to enjoy this activity and no-one should be discouraged or feel fearful.

wild & free therapy

we are looking forward to teaming up with this fantastic Cic to build more opportunities for every body to access blue therapy.

wild & free offer Therapeutic blue space opportunities for children, young people and their families affected by disability and mental health challenges, in Dorset, UK.

they specialise in working with children and young people and their parents/carers who may need support through disability, neurodiversity, or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, and/or special educational needs.

they offer surf therapy programmes, adaptive surfing and paddle boarding, and other blue space sessions (such as wild swimming and yoga) to individuals and groups across the Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and Dorset areas.

Lone parent families

SMILE provides support, activities and friendship for single parent families. their goal is to create a community of families who support each other and live everyday to the full.

we support their SMILE VIP sessions by running a fund paddleboarding session which get lone parent families onto the water. we love these sessions, they are full of laughter, connection and a lot of splashing!

smile values are: inclusivity, kindness, respectfulness, learning, empowerment, trust and responsibility.

dorset youth voice

we are providing family activity days for foster families.

dorset youth voice run activities that help them hear from children and young people (CYP) across dorset.

they are committed to enabling CYP to be heard, in a safe and inclusive space by a variety of means.

They also make sure that the right decision makers work with CYP to do things in a different way. There is something 'in it' for every child and young person when they get involved. They will develop many skills, gain confidence and improve their social mobility.

making memories programme

we are providing activity days for young carers through The Making Memories programme.

MYTIME Young Carers is fighting to level the playing field for young carers.

Young carers have been hidden in society for too long, with the vast majority juggling a huge amount of responsibility unsupported. At MYTIME we recognise and celebrate the incredible young people who do so much to support those that they care for.

We believe that young carers should have access to the support, the friendships, and the opportunities every child deserves.

M.V. freedom

we run the M.V. Freedom race at weymouth beach. It's a 5km Technical race followed by fun team races.

the M.V. Freedom charity has been in existence for 37 years and provides access to the sea for those people living with disability. Our passengers include those with sensory impairments, military veterans, young adults, children and the elderly. Many are confined to wheelchairs, and often would have no other way of accessing life enhancing sea going experiences and their proven therapeutic benefits.

Blue Water

This fantastic charity supports young people who are or may be LGBT+ and empower them to have positive self-esteem, know they are supported, and have a sense of community.

We provide free SUP safety and skills sessions for the brilliant young people supported by this charity.

Watersports Library

We love what this awesome organisation is doing to provide access to watersports equipment for all whilst also protecting the planet!!

Our partnership means we can turn moments of opportunity into a lifelong connection with watersports, the environment and a supportive community.

Blue Water

PLUs size paddler

sarah believes that it shouldn't matter what size or shape you are, or whether you are able bodies in paddling.

her aim is to help make paddling more accessible to women through asking manufacturers to increase sizing options, encouraging women to have body confidence and get involved in the sport.

Longham Lakes

This beautiful lake is the home of Ripple Rebels club.  Our access is managed by South west lakes trust.

Since 2000, South West Lakes Trust has managed all of South West Water’s reservoirs for public enjoyment, environmental safeguarding and recreational pursuits.

they rely on the goodwill of volunteers, Friends and donors to ensure their sites and the surrounding countryside continue to be maintained to very high standards for visitors and wildlife alike.
